Kenwood kMix Add a Pop of Colour

The Brief

Kenwood kMix is a brand new vibrant kitchen range from Kenwood that is designed to brighten up any kitchen and evoke the senses. Kenwood wanted to launch this range in Australia with a Facebook page and activation to create awareness and ultimately increase sales.

The Work

The kMix Facebook page was launched from scratch with zero fans – how? By writing a cool, fun and inspiring content calendar supported by a ingenious activation idea. The activation invited fans to upload any photo to an app which turned it black and white. Then, the fans were invited to literally ‘add a pop of colour’ to their photo by painting on one of the 8 kMix colours to with a virtual tool brush. This was made all the more exciting by a weekly competition for the best photo which won the entire kMix range in the colour of their choice.

I managed the Facebook page from the beginning and it was an incredibly fun to see the community get behind each other every week and really love using the app.

The Results

The campaign was extremely successful. Not only did we grow the kMix fan base to 14,000, but each week we received over 1,000 entries via the app. And the wall was inundated with the community sharing their colourful photos. All in all a winner!
