How beautiful is this? London’s familiar shape is very clearly made up from thousands of tweets and Flickr photographs.
Eric Fischer has come up with this new way to visualise Twitter and Flickr data and the result is this stunning image of London. The red dots are Flickr pictures, the blue dots Tweets, the white ones acting as locations which have been used to post both.
It’s amazing to see exactly where most popular the places are to take pictures, with key landmarks in the city and the river glowing red with pride. And the bright white clusters of dots shine like the flashes of cameras, representing the attractive spots which required a Tweet and a photo! I like.
