The Brief

How do you launch a Facebook page with an exciting new product line at the same time?

Kenwood kMix is a vibrant kitchen range from Kenwood that is designed to brighten up any kitchen and evoke the senses. A clever content calendar was supported by an ingenious activation idea. The fans were invited to upload any photo to an app which turned it black and white. Then they could literally ‘add a pop of colour’ to their photo by painting on one of the 8 kMix colours to with a virtual tool brush. This was made all the more exciting by a weekly competition for the best photo which won the entire kMix range in the colour of their choice. The campaign was extremely successful. Not only did we grow the kMix fan base to 14,000, but each week we received over 1,000 entries via the app. And the wall was inundated with the community sharing their colourful photos.
